Since its debut in 1956, the MC Scow has remained a premier one-design racing dinghy. This 16-foot high-performance scow, built by the legendary Melges in Zenda, Wisconsin, is a staple of inland lake racing. Known for being faster and more technical than traditional monohulls, the MC offers a unique challenge for competitive sailors. For an exercise in technical precision, a full suite of performance sail shape controls that reward skilled tuning offer an elevated sailing experience. Today, the class boasts over 100 fleets nationwide, with a thriving community centered in the Midwest. The class is governed by the MC Scow Class Association which further strengthens its value.
