The Lido 14 is a 14 ft, fiberglass centerboard dinghy designed in 1958 by W.D. Schock for versatile use as a stable family day-sailer and a competitive one-design racer.
At its inception, the boat was a sleeper, made possible by its beamy low-performance body style that rarely planed or capsized. The large cockpit can accommodate six adults, but it is typically raced with a crew of two sailors. Despite its unimpressive appearance, racers find the Lido 14 to be highly tactical and todays fleets are numerous on the West Coast and Midwest.
