Performance Specs & Construction

• Premium Cloth: We exclusively use 3.9 oz Dimension Polyant 165 SQ HTP® plus race cloth. This high-tenacity polyester is known for its incredibly high bias stability and low stretch characteristics, ensuring your sail maintains its designed camber even in heavy air.

• One-Design Compliance: Every sail is handcrafted to strictly adhere to the MC Scow Class Association measurement rules, ensuring you are 100% race-legal.

• Durability Meets Speed: The HTP® plus finish not only holds shape better than standard Dacron but also offers superior resistance to fluttering and UV degradation.

The Mad MC Scow mainsail comes in three variations:

• The Mad AP cut is designed for average weight sailors in a wide range of conditions.
• The Mad Max cut is fuller and more powerful than the AP, and it has a shelf foot.  It’s more suited to heavier sailors and/or choppy water.
• The Mad LT cut is flatter with less roach and sail area.  It is suited for lighter sailors (under 170 lbs) who are overpowered in heavy air.
